HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO

PS-TAD TEST

There are many layers to a film and there are many levels of audience gratification. Although there are numerous elements that make up an excellent film, these are the five that we consider important. This is our format for analyzing and deconstructing film. We have conveniently dubbed it the “PS-TAD” test

P - Plot

S - Screenplay

T - Technical (Cinematography, Editing, Sound, Score, SFX)

A - Acting

D - Directing

OUR RATING SYSTEM

This is our rating system to measure the level of enjoyment(or lack there of) of each film. The arbitrary unit used is ‘COCONUTS’ between the scale of 0 – 5;

5 COCONUTS = This was excellent, I'm buying the DVD!

4 COCONUTS = This was good, worth watching.

3 COCONUTS = This was merely 'OK.'

2 COCONUTS = This was poor, could have been better.

1 COCONUT = This was bad, I rather watch paint dry.

0 COCONUTS = I've seen better film on teeth!
